Tired of noisy chipset fan? DFI nF4 solution (modem warning!)

Recommended Posts

Further modification on my SVP800-Cu cooler gives me FULL 4 SATA Port access and SLI ready.

It may not be as good as those giant towers, but keeping the NF4 at 52'C (passive) should not be a problem.

I'm still setting up my system so pictures will be for tomorrow.

And of course, no weight problem.

GXP345 your solution is good, but unfortunatly would not work with SLI

keeping an eye on this post to see who's gonna come up with a good SLI solution.

If you need something EASIER and CHEAP, try this

You only need a table knife and a screwdriver to do this :)

Keep temperature at about 50'C with very little air flow.

Only cost me 13 bucks. SLI-ready (at least for my 6600GT), 4x SATAII ready, just lose the USB ports. Lose 1 of the secondary SATA ports if your board has it.

If you read the whole tread you would have seen that the cooler works with the NV/ATI silencer. I even posted a picture of the chipsetcooler and silencer together. Belive me now?!

No wonder your temperature is so low, when the VGA fan is "passively" cooling the NB?
