Nanosu Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Hello, I've had this system set up for a few days, and I just started to try overclocking it. I was raising the voltage a little bit, and I had it up to 1.45, but when I tried to raise it to 1.475 the change didn't show up. BIOS still showed the same voltage (1.41v), ClockGen still showed 1.45, Smart Guardian showed 1.39 (my 12v is shown to be at 11.71v), CPU-Z showed 1.392, and Everest showed 1.39. The only thing that showed something different was the NVidia monitor, which has always shown 1.53, so I'm pretty sure that's off. Here is my basic setup: Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester CBBID 0451MPM Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D Corsair Value Ram Cas 2.5x2 Fortron Blue Storm 500 Gigabyte Geforce 6600 (non-GT) 128mb Seagate Barracuda 7002.7 160gb I am using the standard 1/25/05 BIOS. I have all of the optional power connectors connected. Also, if I raise the voltage to 1.45 and since my 12v is running low it shows up as about 1.4, does that put the same stress on the CPU as running at 1.4 at exactly 12v, or does it stress the CPU more? Thank you for your assistance.
