spdiscus Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I'm finding all these posts that say, "set your FSB to 200 and your divider to 1/01. Start raising your FSB, and when you can't go any higher, tweak your settings." My question is, how do you tweak the Big Four memory settings? Starting at 2-3-2-6, I can get up to 215 FSB at 1/01. I know I need to tweak these settings, but is there a link available to tell me how I do that? Should I go to 2.5-3-2-6, or 2-3-2-8, or 2.5-3-2-8, etc.? I just don't know where to start with this "tweaking." When I guess at the numbers to change, I always end up hanging at the Verifying DMI screen. You don't have to explain it all; I'm fine if someone can provide a link to a basic o/c howto that tells more about the actions I should take, and not just what each number means. If I change one number, what should I change about the others? Aside: I'm using Auto for everything else, for now. Thanks, everyone. Happy Friday, everybody! spdiscus Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3393 AG's non-critical sticky, good info about midway down. That's perfect for telling what each number means/does. My problem is that if I only change one value at a time, I can never boot. So, there must be some level of 'matching' needed to know how to modify your timings (how they interact, basically). One example is that ocfaq recommends that Tras should always be Trcd+2. OCFAQ I'm looking for tips along that line. Thanks.
