TypicalSloan Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 the thermaltake smart case fan are nice i think they put out 75 cfm and are speed adjustable. Or the panasonic panaflow are super quiet but they dont put out alot of cfm.
creager Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 you could always buy a beefy loud one and get a baybus and just turn it down at night. mabe try and get 120mm if possible, and mod them at the bottom right of your panel.
mandrake Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 vantec thermoflow is an awesome fan if you want quiet fan with not bad airflow. sumthin like 56cfm. their like 12-15$ CAD so probably pretty cheap in US. i'm putting them in my next box, but i'm gonna cut the thermistor off and solder the wires together to make 'em run wide open. Many ask why i wouldnt just buy a fan w/o thermal control, but as i said before, it's the cheapest fan i can find here with ok cfm at bearable noise level. hope that helps, cheers. sYstEmATiC Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 i have one of those panaflow fans but you are right, they dont put out jack. btw...i cut the thermistor of of my enermax fan and soldered them together also. LOL I have 4 case fans as it is and a decent hsf but 2 of the fans suck, i have better ones but they are louder than crap. Im getting idle temps of about 45 C.
