recoverep Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 recently switched my memory over from OCZ to the PDP Patriot 3200+XBL and this stuff kicks butt! Before I could not even overclock 5mhz and after just putting the new ram in I have achieved a 329mhz overclock, and I still haven't pushed this system to its max. Currently I am running at 29*c idle (same temp I was running at stock). Read sig for further details. Thanks PDP and DFI!
Guest shaolin95 Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Must ask, you are running your patriot @ 233 with cas 2? What voltage are you using? Regards

sabrewulf165 Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 shao I'm pretty sure the XBL's are factory rated for the timings and voltage he's showing. Are you unable to reach DDR 466 at 2-3-3-6 2.7v? I haven't tried this yet myself as I'm mainly interested in reaching higher 1:
Guest shaolin95 Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Indeed you are right, somehow I forgot it. I asked cause I was trying to go 2-2-2-5 yesterday as high as possible memtest stable but wasnt able to hit much higher than 215. I was very dissapointed as you can guess but thats common for TCCD. Now I remember that never tried using 2-3-3-6 for some reason so I am going to check what performance I get with that timing 2-3-3-6 @ 228x11 compared to my current 2.5-3-3-7 @ 278x9. I am guessing that the cas difference wont be enough to compensate for the 50 FSB difference but then again, perhaps I can tighten other parameters more at 228 to make it a good fight.
