LP2 Audio (Round 2)

Recommended Posts

I sent my board into DFI and was hoping to get a new one back.. They sent me the same one, ok, I hoped it would work..

I noticed they did something to a capacitator near the South Bridge, it had some green stuff on it.. I hope it was from them, lol..

Anyways, the reason I sent it in was because I had a problem with SPDIF Audio..

I now have the board in my rig.. All outer standoffs are on.. Nvidia 5.10s are installed.. Everything is plugged up right, brand new spankin speakers bought just to test with SPDIF..

Nothing works. I get tons of static with SPDIF In or Out.. Its annoying. I also notice sometimes when just talking on IM or Browsing web, the speakers will make a short, sorta "White Noise" sound.. Its very annoying, all the speakers are brand new, everything on my rig is new except for the motherboard..

Angry, is there anyway you could chat with RMA_DFI and see about me sending in my board for a new one..? I still have Donna and your emails.. I am pretty sure..

Thanks guys, you rock.. *DFI Rocks*

Hmm, on any motherboard I have ever used if I have the CD audio connector from my cd drive to the board (or sound card in cases when I have one) I find that a -lot- of noise comes in through there and as a result I never use it any more. The reason I bring it up is because the noise was related to the mouse and keyboard, every keypress made a buzz sort of and moving the mouse made a long buzz as long as I moved it.

Anyway, if you want angry to do something like that you're probably best off PMing him.
