Slimmie Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Hello guys, With my old MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum I was running 289htt x 9=2600mhz, LDT:3, GSkill @ 289mhz 2.5-3-3-7. My cpu is a Newcastle 3500+. I was happy with that. Now I have the NF4 Ultra-D and would like to OC my Newcastle further, because DFI is giving much higher voltages than my old MSI. But my new DFI board sucks heavy, it's not better than my MSI. I cannot boot at 289mhz htt. And now my os is very corupted. I thougt DFI was a overclockers board, but this is crap. Is there someone who can help me with overclocking and help me with the right bios settings? I hope there is someone who can help me. My system spec's: - 3500+ Newcastle - DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D - G.Skill PC4400 LE 2x512mb DC - Sapphire Radeon X850XT Pe - OCZ Modstream 520 PSU - 2x s-ata Maxtor 160gb @ Raid-0 array When I use the same settings on the DFI, windows is corrupted an said that files are missing. On the MSI it was rock Solid. I am very confused about this problem, because other people are getting 300+ HTTs. Please help me. Tom Brohanks Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Well ok, What CAN you boot at? What is the highest FSB you are getting? I can only achieve 245, so I don't think you should be complaining ;-)
tristancarton Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 slimmie you may have to rebuild your array when moving from two different raid systems.
cdx2k1 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 slimmie you may have to rebuild your array when moving from two different raid systems. Yeah.A rule of thumb too is to re-install windows when moving form something like a mobo.I take it all you did was rebuild the array and boot straight into windows? If you did then you should do a fresh install. After that try the OC.
