I finally got the DFI NF4 Ultra mobo yesterday. I was happy to finally assembly my pc after months of waiting for all the parts, especially mobo. I put it all together and i was happy to see my computer booting up. Right away I went to installing WinXP, it did't take much time before blue screens started to coming up. Then when I actually got to the point where Windows is installing I got plenty of errors. Once I was able to finish install but then system was crashing everytime I tried to do something.

Bios version is 01/25 I didn't try to flash it yet plus I dont have a floppy drive.

I run memtest and it showed some errors but my modules are brand new (Kingston KVR400X64C3AK2/1G 1GB Kit DDR400 in orange slot)

I dont know what to do now, I'll try to turn intereleave off and run memory 2.8v

I will try to flash bios somehow, dont know how but I find way

Besides all that I dont know what to do if I have to RMA i will probably go with MSI Neo4( I didnt hear anything bad about that board, wont burn your PSU or anything).

If you are having RAM errors in memtest at BIOS Defaults, you have bad RAM.

If your PSU won't support the nF4 chipset on a DFI it won't support the nF4 chipset on an MSI. Checking the forums, it seems like people that have a weak or suspect PSU are finding out quickly when they strike-up their new mobo. The mobo doesn't burn the PSU, the PSU can't support the mobo.

Heheehehehehe. Ex-Roadie man fat tuesday and all at skin done fried you man. You know it is always the motherboard.

The mobo doesn't burn the PSU, the PSU can't support the mobo.
So don't be coming up with no novel idea like it ain't the mobo's fault. So we know the drill.

1. It is never the power supplie's fault.

2. It is never the cpu's fault.

3. It is never the memory's fault.

4. When in doubt see 1-3 above.

Heheheheheeheheheehehe. You rokin now man.

RGone...
