THunDA Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 You have to enable 12 and 34 to install windows even if your only using 34.. btw.. the problem with using 12 and over 240htt only effects you if your doing raid from what I gather.. Prostock62 Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Hi i just setup my nf3 board last week and i installed my sata on the 3&4 ports. The board out of the box came with all 4 enabled in the bios default so i would think yours are enabled also.I had no problems installing mine. You dont have to install any drivers on that.sorry your haveing problems, hope this helps. ShRoOmAlIsTiC Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Ive always had to install on 1/2 then switch to 3/4. Im not running in RAID either. On 3/4 I get irq errors during the install. Do I need to press F6 for drivers? I havent tried installing without the F6 thingy.

I was told otherwise. Anyway, even if its not the prob, here is some more info: when i try to insert it into port 3, it loads up, but a black screen comes up and says (something to the degree of): windows/ntfs/sys is damaged, insert the original windows installation disc and press r to repair it. i tried sata port 4 and i get this: system32ntoskrnl.exe Please insert windows cd and re install this file. Why does it say these things?
cpuz Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Ok, are the drives recognized in the bios? Are you saying you are trying to install windows and windows doesn't see the hd?
