guinness Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 from what ive heard, danger den is good, but innovatek is better. innovatek is hard to get a hold of because its from germany. im not sure of the differences in temp, but for the ease of getting it and it looks good get danger den. shadyone Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 (edited) i have been doing ALOT of research on watercooling kits recently. I finally bought a kit off ebay for a 100 bucks . got lucky innovatek kit retailed for 249 got it for 100 bucks. innovatek is awesome kit especiallt with the rev water block with copper channels don't get kit with flat flow waterblock. it works good but not as good as rev block. i have many reviews and most of them said same thing innovatek kit rules except tubing sucks but you can get different tubing for cheap i got different tubing for mine at hardware for like $2.26 for 6 ft of it. swiftech is way overpriced and way undercooled is what most reviews said. i haven't personally used swiftech but heard they aren't that good from reviews i have read. i reccomend innovatek i have also heard dangerden kits are good too Edited June 4, 2003 by shadyone
joecartoon22 Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 well i personally own a koolance exos. pros: real easy to install looks pretty stylish on top of a black case cons: price/performance ratio isnt too good im a newb at this water cooling stuff thats why i opted for the exos. but if u want to do some more effiecient cool get an innovtek but if you want on of the best get DANGERDEN. if u want to know i was able to clock my 3.0c to about 3.45 stably with the exos. im gonna try to hit the 3.5 mark later. temps are between 49C - 54C underfull load. calibruc Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 (edited) I bought a Koolance PC2-601 case and the 200w cpu block have kept my athlon 2700+ running at 2.37ghz stable under 30* C according to the cpu monitor and under 38* C according to the bios cpu monitor. the only reason i haven't pushed it further is becuase i've been busy with other stuff, but i'm sure it could handle it. dino-new Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 Why not just put your whole computer in a frig?
Mercury Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 general, thats not quite a new idea, but it works B) its what we over at procooling.com like to call "ghetto" as for best performance, i can say that innovatek will get the lowest temperatures ive seen thus far (including different raging river setups, one of which i will be building soon). as for the most heat CAPACITY, any raging river setup works great many of you prolly think im nuts talkin about "raging river" its just a term for water cooling setups where you move lots of water very quickly, ie, fast pump, 1/2", huge radiator. it really depends on what you want to do with it. innovatek will get you lower temps, but once you start stacking up heat (such as peltiers) it will get bogged down. other RR systems will get you slightly higher temps, but will stay very solid as heat load increases.. im sure thats about as clear as mud think of it like racers: there are the srinters and the long distance. if your going for a short race, the sprinter will win, while the long distance (who is slower paced) will lose. as the race becomes longer, the sprinter tires out while the long distance keeps on going. unless you have a high heat load, the RR setups are quite ineffecient. likewise, if you have a high heat load, the "smart" systems (ie innovatek) will get overloaded
