[RESOLVED]USED WINFLASH>> Sandisk USB Drive Bootable?

Recommended Posts

my old nf2 system would boot my Sandisk 128m USB drive, but the LP nf3 won't... hangs on dmi pool.

it has dos 7.1 on it and works fine once in windows.

but i would like to update bios on this nf3, any idea's other than borrow a floppy drive?

Sure use the winflash utility that is on the cd that was with motherboard at purchase. It flashes from inside windoors. Just make sure that you load optimized defaults and then boot into windoors to flash and upon flash using the Options button to 'flash' all bios> upon reboot then load optimized again.

RGone...

PS: there is an FAQ at DFI website describing the use of winflash if you need it. Go FAQ and your board and keyword winflash and I think it will bring up that FAQ.
