Unoid Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 I got 2x512mb of KHX 3000, I took the spreaders off and got confirmation of BH-5's. about a year ago I had them burnt in. Only prolbem is I can't go CPC ON (1T) above 200mhz at 2-2-2-5/6/11 at any volt. I was able to get them burnt in memtest5 up to 225 stable at 3.1V 2-2-2-5 CPC OFF. Doing 3.3vmem doens't seem to give me any higher clocks Shouldn't I be able to push my bh-5 higher like 220 CPC ON? Note: using 1/31 bios on my dfi infinity. persivore Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Some boards will just refuse to run 2*512mb sticks with CPC on. IIRC, the average clock speed for Nforce2 chipsets with 2*512mb sticks with CPC on is about 225MHz. You could try some different BIOS' which might help. Also, how is you northbridge cooled and what northbridge/Vdd voltage have you tried?
klrgreenis Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 I had my two sticks running @ 245 cpc off, gave me just a little bit better scores in everything. Try moving the sticks around to, for some reason I had to have mine in certain slots for them to oc better, even if I would switch the 2 I would get memtest and prime errors, just a thought... Tedy Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Note: using 1/31 bios on my dfi infinity. this is your problem...use some of HELLFIRE's or TICTAC bios.
Cyberparasite Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 my best benchable with lp-b and 2x512 mushkin L2 pc3500 cpc on (prior to 12/31 bios i think had no way to set 2t) was 262fsb. believe i may still have screens somewhere. Unoid Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Note: using 1/31 bios on my dfi infinity. this is your problem...use some of HELLFIRE's or TICTAC bios. Guess I'll give this a try. Althought I dislike flashing this board, I refuse to buy a bios savior or spare bioses!
gotamd Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I was able to get 250Mhz with CPC on in the rig in my sig. I was using the Swiftech MCX-159 chipset cooler on the northbridge and I think I was using 1.8 volts though it may have been 1.7. It wasn't too long ago, but I recently upgraded to an nForce 3 Ultra board and 3000+ Winchester (using the same RAM). The new chip/motherboard can hit 260Mhz 1T stable
TheWizzard Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Me 2. My rig also did 250 with tightest timings stable at 10x. So 10x250@11-2-2-2-2-9-12 cpc [email protected]@1,9vdd@1,875vcore. Now i run it at 10,5x255@11-2-2-2-2-13-15 Cpc off@3,30@1,9vdd@1,9vcore.
persivore Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 My board does 255 with 2*512 TCCD, CPC on, with the chipset voltage at 1.6v. I can run memtest up to 275 with only one stick of RAM tho.
TheWizzard Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 haven't tested mine at those looser timings, but i guess i'm happy with what i get now   btw...maybe i'll go and try 260 with some more volts...
