Zedex Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 I've got a SLI-DR on preorder. It's supposed to be coming in today/tomorrow/or early next week. The store says it's down to customs or something, so I'm assuming it's been there a little while. Does this mean I'd have a earlier revision of the board? I know the R.A00 doesn't have all the ECR mods done to it, as AG stated in another thread. I also saw AG state in the same thread to someone with a R.A00 "i would send that board back to DFI and have it replaced with the most current board, the R.A02 with all the hardware modifications and latest bios." So what are the differences between revisions? I know from AG's post the R.A00 doesn't have all the ECR mods done to it. Does the R.A01 also not have all mods done to it, meaning the R.A02 is the only one with the mods fully done? Or does the R.A01 have all the mods done but without the newest BIOS, with the R.A02 just being the latter with an updated BIOS??? Or does the R.A02 have even further modifications done to it????? I'm very confused about what's going on with all these revisions. I'd really like some sort of clarity, so I know I'm getting a motherboard that's had all the modifications done. I have no problem flashing a BIOS, but I am worried about getting a early revision of the motherboard without all the modifications done to it. Thank you from a very confused Zedex to anyone who can answer these questions.
Angry_Games Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 i dont have any information on the differences. Boards shipped in USA/CDN are R.A02. That is the only information I can give you. If you receive a board that is not R.A02, and are unhappy with it, or it is defective, or just want the latest, ship it back to DFI and they will modify it to R.A02 or replace it.
