PsycoSpicoli Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Uninstalled chipset drivers and video. Installed nForce 5.10 and gForce 66.93, both from NVidia. Now the NVMixer will not start and just goes to send error window. Also my network only works half the time. My AN7 is connected via the gigabit lan, and cable modem via the nvidia 10100. AN7 gets dropped and connection warnings popup. Also, where can I get the sil3114 raid v. 1.007 and is there a modded bios for AN7, mayby by tictac or any suggestions? Thanks! Psykoikonov Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Make sure using Directx 9.0C and Gart driver for mobo. The new audio driver doesn't work properly for me either. It won't let me use the eq, it doesn't crash though. Also don't use the ide driver in the mobo driver package. Anybodyelse got any ideas? Poisonsnak Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 SiI bios is here 4th from the top: http://www.siliconimage.com/support/downlo...s=1&sataraid=0& The 1.0.0.0 at the top implies that they are all of that version but this is incorrect. If you DL the "Windows RAID Driver" you will find that it is 1.0.0.7 (the zip within the zip's file name ends in 1007). Do you have a temp monitor program like MBM? What is your case temp? A hot southbridge has been known to cause problems and it is responsible for both your audio and your networking. One thing many people find fixes the LAN dropout: in device manager under computer - "ACPI uniprocessor PC" change the driver to "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC". I can't remember why it works and I vaguely remember hearing that it is kind of dangerous, so maybe save it for a last resort. I did it on my mom's computer (via chipset) and it fixed her lan dropout though. Can you adjust the audio by going to start - run "sndvol32" or does that crash also? Angry_Games Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 when removing old drivers, unless you are formatting and installing fresh, always use a program like Driver Cleaner 3.3 to completely rid the system of previous drivers for a specific device (and do it in safe mode)
