you want to go in to advanced bios setup and up the front side bus or fsb in small increments and checking for stability often when it becomes unstable find your v-core settings and up that a bit or just lower the fsb but make sure to keep everything cool hope this helps

Ok Bishop or anyone,

I have OC'ed and this is the info I want to share with you all and advise if this is good or bad. As you can see my defaults status as my signature, I have OC'ed my system to 2.700GHz. Under my BIOS, this is what I have changed.

CPU Speed - Manual

CPU Freq Multiplier - 18X

CPU External Freq (MHz) - 150

CPU Vcore Setting - Manual

CPU Vcore - 1.525v

DDR Ref. Voltage - 2.7v

AGP VDQDQ Voltage 1.6v

I have notive that when I ran the Intel Process Frequency ID Utility, It read 2700GHz in Processor and 600MHz in System Bus. I can also go higher to 2.861GHz w/ a 635MHz system Bus. Now, Will this fry my PC. Evevrything is working well, just wanted to see if this is the right way. Any corrections will be greatly appreciated.

Yea, id just like to point out that any OCing will fry your processor....even if you don't OC your computer, eventually you will still need a new CPU, thats why they have a lifespan!

what kind of temps are you getting with it oc'ed and as for frying your proc it can if you let the temps get to high other wise you can expect it to burn out in 5 or so years because most procs only have about a 10 year life span and oc'ing cut it in half more or less but it dont look bad to me good job on the oc

Hey Bishop,

Thanks again for helping me out and to all the members that contributed in comments. One last thing about this OC'ing adventure. How wud we exactly know if I'm actually running at this speed. Do I do bentch marking or what. I sometimes feel the system is stil running the way it was. Just curious, because if it is not running on the speed that its OC'ed, than I shud just reset everything to normal defaults. What you think. Please advise.

PS...In order for me to get Tempertures, I wud always need to go thru BIOS setting and chk from there. My temps are usually from 45c-55c. Now, I can't tell what it does on idle...any suggestion in chkg temps while working on PC.
