Guest ElAguila Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 My 12v rail is running a little low. It stays within 10% but I think I would like to replace it. I was looking at this psu. Anyone familiar with this unit or heard anything good or bad about it: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=270902

vega27 Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 smartguardian shows my +12V at only 11.64, BIOS shows 11.8. i was worried too but was reassured by others that, unless you exp. stability issues, you should be fine. nSaNe Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 my SG reads really LOW(11.61)... my digital multimeter reads 12.2 as we speak. dont trust monitoring programs for voltages go buy a $15 dollar dmm that does .00 places. You should try measuring your rail with a digital multi meter...i've tried it and it does give an accurate reading, in smart guardian my 12 V rail is listed as 11.83, BIOS shows 12.06, when i measured it with the digital multi meter it's 12.22...it safe to say that you can't trust smart guardian...i'm trusting my digital multi meter instead... Guest ElAguila Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Using a multimeter the reading was 11.45 idle and 11.22 under load. I decided to go ahead and replace it with this one from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc....ufactory=BROWSE
