David Stewart Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Well, your Prime95 scores are similar to mine. Mine are only marginally faster and I'm running at 2.55 Ghz. Don't know what your friends have so it's kinda hard to get a comparison. I wouldn't get to bent out of shape about it. In real-world performance and gaming, I doubt you are getting outperformed badly by those same systems you are comparing to. I am not very sure how memory intensive Prime95 benchmarks are, I would assume very memory intesive. The problem may not be with your cpu and "system"...it may be your memory is running under par. cgbben1 Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 no offence bu that is the exact opposite that 3d mark told me. It said to consider getting a ne proseccer to keep up w/my memory. If you want to do some of my benchmarks go to majorgeeks. and thry have all of them free of charge! Thanks, Blaine

David Stewart Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Timings are something that you will have to experiment with to get them just right. What works for me will likely not work the same for you. Here is a great GUIDE to read. It explains everything you need to know about timings, what they do, and reccomended settings.
