jaap74 Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 HI, First real attempts at overclocking and I am getting the Blue Screen of Death when running Burn In in Sandra. BSOD tells me "Invalid_work_queue_order". BIOS settings are : FSB 214 MHz VDimm 2.7 @3.66 GHz When an error report is sent the Microsoft website tells me that the error is probably due to an "Error Caused by a Device Driver". It suggests I update all drivers (which I think I have) and my BIOS, which I haven't ! Do you think I need to update the BIOS ? My board revision is "875P01-0" from the sticker on the Printer port. Current BIOS version is 10/01/2004. Basic question is : Is this a problem due to my overclocking or driver problems ? Thanks
BigStan Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Wouldn't hurt to update your BIOS. What voltages are you running your CPU and Mem at?
jaap74 Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 hi the only changes I have made are to FSB and VDimm...... everything else stock is the board revision number i put in my first post correct or have I got the wrong number ? cheers
BigStan Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Can't help you with the mobo Rev#. Maybe Angry Games will jump in here about it. At 217fsb with your timings at 2,2,2,5. you might need to increase your mem voltage a tad or you might need to start thinking about loosening your timings to maybe 2,3,3,6,
jaap74 Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 jeeezus.....getting all sorts now in addition to "Invalid_work_queue_item" I am also getting "IRQL_not_less_or_equal"............. reinstalled AGP drivers and still getting the first error...... looked on the Microsoft website and web and it does mention that perhaps the problem is overclocking........... does 3.66 GHz sound the best i should be getting ?
BigStan Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Did you loosen your mem timings or raise your mem or CPU voltage yet?
jaap74 Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 BigStan yes i have now, you were spot on FSB 217 VDimm 2.8 3.7 GHz Sandra Burn In test running fine what is my safe VDimm limit do you think ? i'll whack the FSB up another notch..... any advise re memory timings...... haven't done that before !! thanks
BigStan Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I don't know much about that mem, but you might want to try 2.5,3,3,7 until you get to know the capabilities of your proc. When you find it's limit, you can try tightening your mem a bit to improve performance.

I wanna get higher than 3.77GHz !!!! Cheers

BigStan Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 I am assuming you have WinXP. Are these the drivers you have? http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_66.93 A 400 core on a non GT~ Ultra 6800 seems a little high.
