Psywar Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 Hey Ya'll Tis me.. I got a new mobo, actually its them same one I got for my 933 its my TUA266 by ASUS, any ways I put a P3 500Mhz CPU in it with 512 ram PC133 (2x sticks of 256) and I installed win2k on it right, and its running soo soo slow.. and I dont know why.. Like Windows takes a while to bootup.. and when the desktop loads it runs just fine.. but when I open an application or open My computer or anything Its like bogging down, going so slow.. I checked the ram.. and its not like being overused or anything.. If anyone can help or think of anything please reply, I am going to put a bigger heatsink on the CPU I thought maybe that was it.. I really cant think of much else.. Any Suggestions comments.. anything, would be very helpful.. THanks a bunch! l8rz

Bosco Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 Well for sure you have a conflict somewhere, did you double check you bios and drivers? I know you most likely did. double check your reg to make sure you didn't get a bad install. Is all you hardware compatible?
Psywar Posted May 10, 2002 Posted May 10, 2002 Well I did have one Issue.. it said something about the Bios.. shadowing or something.. SO I disabled it.. I actually had to do this to install Win2k.. I reformatted 2 times.. I dont know.. Im working on my computer as we speak.. Im hoping maybe.. its a cooling problem lol.. More AIR! w00t.. l8rz
