[]GaMeZ[] Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 Hey, before anybody like kills me on this, let me just say that i really dont have the time to support a raid system on my comp. First of all, i have a ghetto job (15 yrs old) that barely pays for the parts. I dont think Raid 1 would be fun for the reason that i dont wanna have dual hds for 1 stream of data. Anyways, i was wondering if it was possible to disable RAID systems on a motherboard such as lets say The DFI KT400a ... or on most boards. Heh, i'm planning to get a mobo but alot of the nice mobos have raid on em .. any info would be helpful .. Thanx
LobbDogg Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 Yes, most motherboards will let you disable RAID in either a jumper on the board or through the BIOS. I haven't seen a board yet that won't let you.

Well, my old ABIT KA7-100 did not let me disable it.
