EFD Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 I'm in despret need of a bois chip. does any one have an old DFI Infinity board or just a spare chip kicking around? i cant over clock my machien with out fear of cropting my bios. i was just wondering if any one may know how to get my hands one one. will pay upto 10 dollors for a used one from ur board. RGone Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 You would be better off to have a bios savior and not be faced with hotflashing the corrupt bios chip back to life after the first initial crash that forced you to put in a spare bios chip. Most NF2 boards use the same or workable bios chip so you might try even an Abit forum somewhere that the guys pushed the boards hard and killed the board with a voltage mod and then might sell the used bios chip. My NF2 bios chip fits my NF3 DFI board so I am not getting rid of my NF2 chip when it fits my new boards as well. Just so you see perhaps more than one place to look. RGone...
