zorton Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Hi all... When I boot my new computer, I get an Asus splash screen that hangs around for a long time (unless I "Tab") and then a screen, in b&w, with what probably is my POST info. Can these two screens be bypassed, so that I go right to my Windows screen? Now that I am up & running, does enabling the "quick post" in my BIOS do this? Thanks....(many more ? to come, I'm sure) Mike
JeepGC96ZJ Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 I think there is a way to turn that off. But I am not sure... I would also put your first boot device to your Primary HD. Also uner the HD you know how it set to auto detect. Well if you have the specs of your HD listing all the cylinders and heaads and speed you can imput that to boot a little quicker. It makes it soyou wont have to detect the HD and goes into windows. But I think you can turn the Splash screen off and see why it taking so long or why its hangin on the splash screen. There is also a limit you can set on how fast you want it to sit there I think. I will have to go home and check. Jeep
