santacruz395 Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 Hello, I am going to be building a computer for Home recording, I need a to find a case, I know this won't affect it much, but i would like the case to keep the components quiet (dampen teh sound) and have built in fans. I owould also like the cas to look good Thanks

Mercury Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 what level of "niceness" you want really depends on your budget. if you can swing the $200+ price tag, i highly recommend lian-li cases, they are high quality anodized aluminum, high quality design, easily disassembled, the list goes on and on... i have one, and i can say with confidence its the best case ive ever had. for being such a freaking monster, it weighs less than most of my friends cases
zorton Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 Being relatively new at computer building (I've built one) and with little experience with different case manufacturers, I can say that my Lian-Li case is of exceptional quality. Very well designed, manufactured and assembled. That's it.... Mike

TheEclypse Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 The Antec Sonata is meant to be a quiet case.

AMDOCuser Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 (edited) Yeah definitely go for the cheiftec case. You can get one black with a window, aluminum full tower with a 450w PSU from newegg for $90. Mercury Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 my general opinion (same as others) is that if you got the cash, get a lian-li, otherwise cheiftec/antec/whatevertheycallthemnow works great. lian-li is better designed, has lots of extras and has much better painting (anodized) and the level of detail is unmatched, but i suggest cheiftec for people new into computer building, simply because they are easy to work with (easy to remove doors, bays, cd drives, everything) and are relatively cheap. they also have bent edges (something many low-end cases are missing) so that your hands dont suffer so much tyrany
