bit of a dilema

when my next student loan goes through im not sure what to do. the coices are: get watercooling for my p4 and rev it up some more or build a new games machine based on a sempron and good graphics card. which shouldi go for?

Nforce 4 939 SLi - £150 - £200

939 CPU £200 - £500

SLi 6800s £300 each

 

Go on you know it makes sense!

 

Or, about £150 for a stock water cooling kit upto £300 if you buy lots of nice custom parts.

might go without sli for the mo as i only have a 15" monitor :P whats the best s939 mobo out at the mo cos i dont think i can wait til the dfi one is out. ill go for an upgrade when i start my placement year in may. loads to spend then :D

TCCD ram is great

 

Ballistix (Micron) stuff is great too (3200 is actually better than 4000)

 

ive never messed with WC so I can't answer that.

 

but google and all the good review sites will tell you what RAM is the best (TCCD is the new BH-5 it seems)

if i want to get a higher o/c will it be better to upgrade ram or cooling 1st? my current set-up seems to be at about 40C under load with my old celeron cooler :D
