Window Mod

Recommended Posts

How do i fasten a window to my case? I really don't want to use a locking strip if i don't have to. Would double sided tape do the job or would i have to use a different method? Thanks for your help.

the double sidded modling works great...but other options are rivits, bolts, screws any kind of htign like that can have a dramatic effect on it...but thier are strong glues u coudl also use...double sided tape is rather iffy...try it but i don't think the results will be very promising....go to a hardware store and by some heavy duty bonding glue made to hold 3 ton beems over nice cars in advertisments ;)

I used double-sided squares that you use for securing key holders to walls or other things. You'll probably have to layer them to get the right thickness. They've worked well for a month now and the window is still there! lmao.

ill probably end up going with rivets or screws.

EDIT: ok i just did my window and i use double sticky foam tape and it works fine. its sticky as hell.

Double sided tape is usually used to hang pictures up or glue two things together. Some hsf's come with some... Question: how do you put rivets into a case? Also how will you go about inserting screws into the case if you go that route? I tried using epoxy and it didn't hold at all... I'm not too sure if its the c strip molding that I have that's blocking me from putting on the plexi glass, but everything i've tried failed (epoxy and cement). My case is steel if that helps...
