scyphe Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Hi. I'm typing this from a crappy laptop since I can't start my desktop machine. I entered the BIOS to change boot-order from CDROM -> HD to HD -> CDROM. After saving and rebooting the system is stuck in a constant reboot. It doesn't even show the bootscreen, it just reboots and reboots. The CD/DVD-drives flashes forever. Seems like it can't even pass pre-boot. Any ideas? I've cleared the cmos without any change. I've removed the battery now and will try again in a little while. This is no fun at all.... EDIT: Thank Slartibartfast. I just replaced the battery and the thing boots.... I got worried there for a while...
Guest Nighthawk Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Have you tried popping the battery out for 20 seconds and resetting the CMOS?
