Angry_Games Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 make a sig put specs in it read Important Info sticky (it tells you why you should do this)
Poisonsnak Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Well I can go out on a limb here and say your CPU is rated for 1.45V at 166x11.5 not 200x10 so that is probably why you're crashing. This was found through Angry's sig btw, here: http://www.angrygames.com/AMD_CPU/AMD_CPU/AMD_CPU.htm My mobile 2500+ could do 200x11 at 1.55V maybe give this a try. Case temp is high because its sensor is near the south bridge, and the south bridge is hot (put your hand on it). As for "why is there two cpus?" I think you're referring to 2 CPU voltages given in MBM 5, Core 0 and Core 1. Core 0 is your CPU core voltage and Core 1 is your AGP voltage. There certainly could be other problems with your setup, listen to Angry he runs the show here for a reason.
importpsycho Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 yes but it's mobile, according to the store I bought from, stock is 2ghz. on ther note, i'm using ALX-800 with stealth fan 250w mATX PSU(cuz i'm using slim case) it should be just enough for this setup. 37c is CPU temp and 25c is AGP temp? Poisonsnak Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Oh 2 CPU temps are listed? That's odd. MBM for me shows 3 temperatures (no load / full load): CPU Diode (31/33) CPU Socket (30/36) Motherboard Southbridge (37/38) The store you bought it from is likely to be right about the CPU than AMD. Did it say the model # on the CPU? Anyway if you follow the link I suggested it puts your CPU at 166x11.5. This is 1917MHz. Also keep in mind that at the same internal clock but a higher FSB your cpu will require more voltage to run stable. Ex: 240x10 is harder to pull off than 200x12. Additionally some people have stability issues with mobile CPUs in this motherboard (since it is not really meant for mobile CPUs, being a desktop motherboard) so do a search for "war mod" and this may help. Which BIOS are you using? I had cold boot problems with my mobile 2500+ until I flashed to 6/19 official.

puppetmasta Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 What is your 12 volt rail at during heavy load? How are the voltages on your psu holding up when you are gaming or running at full load? A 250W PSU seems like it wouldn't be able to supply enough power to your 9800Pro, xp mobile, and peripherals...
