MikeHunt79 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 did you use cooling when at 3.3v vdimm?
Guest RoJo Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Sorry to hear about your problem Tedy. But try each stick on it's own first, before you right them all off. I've been lucky so far, I've only broke, or had a couple of things break in the last 5 years. And I'm going to watercool my rig next week, which is a first for me.

MarcusOCZ Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Tedy, Exact same happened to my VERY expensive EB 3500 memory kit as well. It just detonated during memtest.

Poisonsnak Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Good luck man, and be careful, test 5 is the highest heat memtest I believe, when I am running it I usually at least take my fans off low speed mode. You should get those wicked little ram sinks, I would (they look cool even), but my ram already has heatspreaders. Memtest for me generally finds errors in 1 pass of test 4 if I am way too high, or if that passes and I am only somewhat too high then 1 pass of test 8 fails for me. Oddly enough test 5 never fails for me, though I rarely loop it.
