Have I got this right?

...about the memory divider? So far I have just been using 1:1. I can run 230x11(=2530) at that.

So...if I set the divider to 9:10 and htt to 255 then the memory should be running at 229.5, and with a multi of 10 cpu frequency is 2550.

I hope I have that right, if so why can't I boot into windows when I use the second setup?

1:1 ratio 230x11=2530

9:10 ratio 255x10=2550

I left the ldt on auto in both cases.

Do most people use the divider to get the high htt cos I just can't get into windows so far trying all different combinations of dividers etc all of which work out at results I really think should be working.

What is the type of htt people are using and with what dividers?

I would set the LDT/FSB manually, it wasn't lowering for me on auto ( that's why I mentioned it LOL ) and was having the same problem you have.

As for dividers, I just started messing with them ,so I'm little help there

just though i would point out......

10x255 @183(9:10) i bios, gives a 10:11 ram ratio, which at 255mhz,, puts your ram at 231.8mhz, insteed of 229.5.

i know its not that big of a difference but, if you wish your ram to be at 230(or 229.5) use 10x253, and this should be equal to 11x230(or 229.5)

as the others have mentioned, try setting your LDT multi down some, maybe 4x, or 3x....
