Guest Byron Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 After upgrading to this bios from the 9/14 bios, in my Hard Drive Selection area it doesnt have my Nvidia Stripe, it only has: 1: Ch1 Wd xxx whatever 2: ch0 Bootable Add on card In the version 9/14 it had three options: 1: Ch3 Wd xxx whatever 2: ch2 Bootable Ad on card 3: ch0 Nvidia Stripe 149 I used to set it to: 1: ch0 Nvidia Stripe 149 2: Ch3 Wd xxx whatever 3: ch0 Nvidia Stripe 149 1: is my RAID 0 boot array 2: is my spare back up hd Now with only these two options it seems as if the ch2 Bootable add on cards is my NVIDIA STRIPE array, because when I select 1: bootable add on card 2: WD xx whatever It allows me to boot this way. Is this the way this new BIOS is written? Thanks! I am using the nf3 ut w/ 2 SATA wd 74 gig hd's Nvidia Stripe 0 array) and one IDE wd 30 gig
Angry_Games Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 read the rules read the Important Info sticky then you'd know to make a sig with your system specs in it. you wont get much help without having read the rules and reading the important info sticky. RGone Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 ... got signature with some information and now can get the only answer I have. Yes, the newer 4.66NVRAID ROM does do that. Now if you look iin the Raid Setup Menu at F10 you will now see an option to set boot and I did not see this before. Yes, it does in fact seem to work but it sure is a 'surprise' when the expected becomes the "unseen". Sincerely, RGone...

Guest Byron Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 what should the pwmic temp be at for my specs?
Angry_Games Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 there's no real set temps... i run a 2800+ (1.8Ghz) @ 2.25Ghz (250FSB 1:1/9) 36°C cpu 39° PWM 33°C system i'd say anything under 60°C is ok. temps gonna vary a bit too.
