Well after reading this, i had to try this out but right now i m stuck on 240mhz fsb by 1,5V for the CPU.

My memory is PC4000 Crucial Ballistix, i tried to get the Sempron higher then that but for some reason it got stuck.

No matter how high I increase the Voltages.

1,5V CPU

1,7V Chipset

2,8V Memory

1,5V AGP

This are the current Voltages i m running. I also tried to get the HT down to 3x instead of 4x but wouldnt make a difference. Of course i tried to increase the Voltage of CPU and chipset a little bid i also put the memory on 3.0V but there is no way right now that i m getting higher.

The UT 250Gb and sempron 3100+ should work quite nice.. se sig :)

Uncle_sam : first put a divider on the mem fsb and then put more juice to the cpu, try 1.45 x 1.13v first, of course watching your cpu: s temp at stress, and then maybe x 1.23 (thats what im using with my silent rig and thermalright xp120).

i think Your cpu needs more vid...

After that try finding your memorys limitation...

...just basic overclocking..

Good Luck

I actually think it has something to do with the S-ATA. For some reason one of my drives 240gb SATA Stripe just disappeared. I only show 120gb.

The memory should be the last problem it runs 260mhz with an 2800+ (Athlon64 mobile low voltage) 1:1 on an MSi K8N Neo Board. I think i have real bad SATA Problem with this board. If i hook the drives up to SATA 3-4 they wont even show or boot. Something is messed up and i think nothing else but a new Bios Version can fix this problem.

Hmm... very weird... it's a known fact that S-ATA ports 0 & 1 die when FSB reach 240 or more.. But not port 2 & 3...

I am having the same exact problem, stuck at 240, except with a DTR 3200+, and I have my SATA drives on 3&4.

Hello all, 1st post here, thought this would be a good spot since I have had a bit more luck with my 3100+

So far I am using a stock HSF and Crucial Ballistix 512MB PC3200, a Thermalright XP120 should be on the way soon!

I am still trying to learn all the new settings for this board, I have played around with 300+FSB on it with mem dividers just for kicks.

Just downloaded the Oscar 10-05 Bios, (seems like a good stable choice) I had just found in another thread why I could never disable thermal throttling in the stock bios without having to reset CMOS.. :P

EDIT..just flashed new Bios..No more thermal throttling!

Any body have any recomendations for Crucial Ballistix memory? everyone always mentions settings for TCCD or BH-5, I have read many threads and just keep spinning my wheels trying to figure it out. (Tried Oscar's 300x8 TCCD settings)

Aren't they the same chips as OCZ 3700EB (Micron or Hynix???)

So far anything above 270FSB at CAS 3-3-3-8 1t seems flakey after a while. looser timings and 2t kill my scores!

What is a good voltage for it? I have tried 2.9-3.1v and it doesnt seem to make much difference.

Quite simply this combo is really sick:

I don't have a killer setup by any means:

Sempron 3100+ & Stock DFI NF3 board w/ 8/27 bios

Corsair Value Select 2.5-3-3-7 512mbx1

zalman cnps 7000 cu

nvidia ti4200

But out of the box I could hit 2.1-2.2 ghz no problem with no voltage increases. HTT was at 220-240.

At 250 and on there are a few problems, mainly that the LDT has to be dropped to 3x, and I had to bump voltage to 1.45

A few hours later I went as far as I felt comfortable and this is what I ended up with:

2430 mhz = 270x9 HTT, 3x LDT, dram was at a 7/10 ratio I believe

voltages:

1.55 vcore (the monitor in windows always reads lower, like 1.52)

2.6 dram (stock)

1.6 agp (reads 1.56 in windows)

1.6 chipset (reads 1.56 in windows)

I don't have sophisticated testing or benchmark software but this posted over 7100 MIPS in sandra, which was pretty good. Stock was like 6000.

i have some screenshots of the stuff too, idle temp was about 45c (about 3c higher than stock).
