jestr62 Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Hi, Here's my specs i'll have to see if I need to update my sig, lol: 3700, Lanparty NF3, 2x256 Hyperx3200, pc power & cooling425watt sata80gb sorry in advance for length, but it has been a very trying 2 days. The problem is my system is very unstable, an everything is at stock. Cant finish any benchmarks w/ out freezing up. Not prime at all. I thought at first it was my cpu temps cause I have the shotty retail sink on it for now, an temps were like at 60c. Stuck a box fan on side of case an temps dropped to 52c. Still unstable. So I flashed bios to the beta cause I also had problems w/ lan . After flash no luck wouldnt even boot into windows. I do a fresh install thinking maybe xp got messed up, no go. It lets me install , but I cant boot into windows, it freezes on xp load screen, even in safe mode. Took hd an stuck it in my infinity, an it fired right up an werkin fine. Also tired putting another ide hd in an it does same thing, thinkiong maybe there was a prob w/ sata. I've tried memory in diff slots, an diff sticks. Any ideas please
Angry_Games Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 lol take a breath....and leave some spaces in your post first things first...load Optimized Defaults in the BIOS, save & exit, reboot. try DIMM slots 1/3 (closest to cpu, farthest from cpu)
jestr62 Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Okay, I put just one stick in , an finally got it to work on the 3rd slot. Now I just gotta dig through some more threads to find a cure to this Lan problem. thanx
Angry_Games Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 LAN = try inputting the MAC address from the AGP slot sticker (cpu-side) into the MAC Address section in the bios
