Weird Problem!!!

Recommended Posts

Sometimes when I start my comp at 230fsb and over the Raid Utility screen comes up and then it restarts. I don't have any sata drives and I'm not using raid and it is disabled in the bios. Why is this happening and what can I do to stop it? Any help would be great.

 "symptoms" of a system overclocked too far or some bios setting that is incorrect and the computer really does not want to boot up period so it hangs at the looking at the SATA stuff because when it read SATA and saw none> it was hung up because the NEXT step could not be completed to further boot up and just left you looking at the SATA screen which would have been quickly cleared without your knowledge even HAD the boot process been able to complete.

Sincerely, RGone...

If youare speaking of the detect array message others including myself have experienced this problem. If I let it cycle through the detect array screen , let it restart, it will boot into windows. Sometimes it does it twice.

 heard this>"""If I let it cycle through the detect array screen , let it restart, it will boot into windows. Sometimes it does it twice."""

BUT mine cycles thru 3 times exactly and comes back to bios screen and says "numb nuts, change your cpu settings" and then will do the same thing if I do not change anything and come right back to the numb nuts message. So it really depends on how far off the settings are on the "incorrect" side of things.

It always will boot for me if I let it cycle through. Maybe I'm not pushin it far enough, eh RGone. I want my board to call me "numbnuts" too.:)

 I meant to put a couple of smilies up for 'mtfresh'; cause he might think I was calling him numb, but I had heard that about the cycle boot from three or four people and I always got the dang screen after 3 that said > you are now in 'safe mode' please to change cpu settings. I thought I was really the numb nuts because mine never booted. HEhehehehehe. :shake:

But yes, I was in the ether zone out yonder and then I found out why my shett would not go and will not go and I am a sad and forlorn overflocker. HEhehehehehe. Iffen me main man Owu gets the total tweak I need done then it will likely display the message; " hey air hot nuts> how high today?". Hehehehehehe.

The raid detect screen always comes up during boot but if raid is disabled in bios

it goes by so fast you can't even see it. You may see the raid screen if the boot hangs

from either the CPU speed to high or the memory speed being to high. Since neither

the 230FSB or the 2300Mhz cpu speed is really excessive I would say the Vcore and/or

Vdimm is a bit low for the speeds you are trying to run.
