yes epoch, you are right though, the Mosfets( the 6 blach squares with 2 legs(and one dummie leg in the middle, there are 3 big, and 3 small ones) to the left of the cpu socket, get very hot as well, under loads at high vcores:shake:

well its acually measuring the temp of the the IC i highlighed in red in the above pic. heat will rise from the IC, and tough the sencor.

the IC is accually what controls the Vcore.

i have a HS on mine, but you must watch VERY CAREFULLY of clearance to the yellow bracket, and your CPU HS.

One Heatsink coming up, i have a water block on mine so have plenty clearance.

Just be sure to take into consideration, that, to big of a sink, might interfere with a HSF, if you might deside to remove your water cooling for some reason in the futur, although i doubt you would, just take that into consideration:nod:

jess1313, can you lead me in the right direction on what kind of HS to get for it?

something like this

http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/mipllch.html

would work well, but you would have to trim some of the fins down, to get clearance to the stock braket, but i dont know about aftermarket sinks.

i just cut up part of an old 486i HS, and used it.

i would recommend possibly, just trying a fan first, and see what this does for temps, because you must remember, that just like anyother mod, perminatly attaching a HS, would Void your warrentee
