epoch Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Hi, rather new to the DFI board but so far found it superb. been reading loads on it lately and managed to get to my limit with my rig i thik, but i am hoping someone in ere can help me get more. Currently i have it running @ 10 x [email protected] mem [email protected] LDT = Auto and works at x3 chipset at 1.7v i have it all water cooled and temps dont go above 40 under load. i have a leadtek 6800 gt with ultra bios running @ 400/1100 temp is about 34-40 underload. bios is the modded one. if you need any more info let me know CPU = 3400XP (CO) 1mb cache mem = ballistix pc 4000 thanks in advance. Guest Hellfire Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Hey Jess, I've been working on modifying modbin so it will works with the new bioses for the nf3 boards. I'll be sure to send you the modified version of this modbin so it would be easier to modify. I'll also send one copy to tictac. Been kinda busy lately so it may take a while. I'm actually working with a professor to reverse engineer the new bioses. Hellfire

GL -Jess- Thanks Jess, not sure what is blocking me. The memory does not apear to want to go above 260 @ 3.0v which for ballistic that runs at default 250 @ 2.8 is a bit poor i was hoping for a bit more. As for the CPU, i think since it is a CO, i am stuffed, well that is what most people say, but i dont believe everything i read so i will try and get more out of it and i cant i will sell it and go for a better chip. I am getting a problem with my pwmic sensor / the musfits overheating under load getting up to 70 - 90 c underload. I have also got : 2 X 512 DDR400 corsair twinx 3200LLPT that runs @ 2-3-2-6 opoosed to the ballistix: 512MB DDR PC4000 • 2.5-4-4-8 • Non-parity • DDR500 • 2.8V not sure if that will make any improvement as i carrently have them in a NF7-S board. What do u all think is the best CPU for clocking on this board??

What do u all think is the best CPU for clocking on this board?? i would have to say a 3200/3400 dtr....although..... i WOULDNT get the 3400 unless you can find one that is garrenteed to be a CG rev, because the vast magority are CO's..... heres a link to a 3200 at newegg... http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-103-443&depa=1 its a cg, cuz the model # ends in AR....
