it work with my laptop (sp1 & USB1.1)

And now even I down my FSB, it still not work.

(Edit: I though it might be OC issue but it's not)

Edit: now I use PS/2 which is working fine.

For USB not working, it doesn't work even it is Welcome screen before log-in to windows

do other USB devices work?

Other devies work. I have an Microdrive 64MB which supports USB2.0 and I test in every usb ports- all work.

when I plug mouse in usb port before installing software, it worked -- after I installed driver, mouse hang, so I thought it might have software conflict with IBM driver but after I uninstall IBM driver, it still doesn't work even I deleted driver from device manager

After it didn't work and I reboot, I see in device manager

it change from "usb human interface device" to "Unknow device" but I can't update "Unknow device" driver.

For this mouse, if it is not match with WinXP, it shouldn't work with my laptop too but it does work with my laptop.

do you think my mouse doesn't work with USB 2.0? or it should work with USB2.0

very odd...do me a favor and send me a detailed email about your mouse problem and I will see if TW can take a look and find out if there's an issue...

also, when you plug the mouse in and it detects...have you gone to WindowsUPdate.com and checked to see if there's any device driver update?

its very odd that the mouse wont work on this board yet on an XP laptop. Hopefully we can figure out whats up with it =/

I thought I might add to this; My Intellimouse Optical is frozen following a boot from cold - I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it working :x

This was using the shipping BIOS and a clean install of WinXP + SP2. Happens with all the USB ports yet my printer seems unaffected.

The only fix is to use a PS/2 adaptor :s
