TurboTodd Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Okay, installing MB in the case, first time build. Reading the MB manual, it reads that I can't enable the front panel mic and headphone jack without disabling the rear jacks. Am I reading this right? More than anything, it's the headphone jack I want to use. thanks in advance- Todd

To clarify- the jumpers would disable all rear audio jacks to allow just the headphone/mic front panel jacks? Thanks for the quick reply btw. KeepinOnThaDL Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 I use front panel headphone/mic and my rears still work. only when I put in headphones my speakers don't work.
Angry_Games Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 ^ | | | ya this is the way it is supposed to work...rear stays working until you plug something into the front connector, then it cuts the signal (might be buggy but you can blame that on the differing drivers from NV/Realtek)

This is making more sense. I was understanding it that if you just wired the front panel connections that it would totally disable the rear speaker jacks all of the time, not just when headphones were plugged in.
