one more Information for Oscar:

the only thing wich i can NOT change when Windows is running ist the

multiplicator (10x 9x.....)

Change HTT or Voltage is no Problem.....

I think that is the reason why Windows hangs while booting,

the A64 Driver will set the Multi from 10x to 5x at start...

..and thats it...... Freeze.....

My Question is, where is the Relationship between Multi-change and

Number of Dimms.... (1Dimm OK BUT two not)

And why the C0 Revision reacts in another way than an CG Revision regarding to C&Q...

JCM900, don't know anything about the bios or CoolnQuiet as my board is clocked to hale and back.

What I did get was an email from Taiwan early this morning listing the upload of the AMD driver for coolnquiet that was working on the UT250 in Taiwan with WinXP.

I felt that those in this thread with an interest in coolnquiet; might benefit from the new driver reported to be working. Past that point man, I have not a clue as my board runs WFO all the time except when windoors shuts off the hard drives and monitor if it is unused for over an hour.

Please do not install this driver if you intend to do overclocking.

Mmm... so if I install the driver... any OC will fail even if I do not enable CnQ in bios?

Why?

I can’t figure out why if I select Cool’n’Quiet in the bios, the CPU Speed drops to 800mhz in Windows in idle mode, but the VCore remains at “full speed”. This is not the first A64 CPU and mobo I had and I know how to set C’n’Q…latest A64 drivers (1.1.0.18), portable/laptop in the power management. Nothing helps. I still get 1.72V idle (1.4 x 123% in the bios) instead of 1V-1.2V.

I am using bios 10/15. Are there any issues with this bios and mobile CPUs? Please help !

Thank you !

P.S. I tried to upload a screenshot picture but for some reason it's not working.
