DimensioN Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 well i haven't seen anny new AMD Boards lately. And because the ASUS a7n8x is the best mobo around since a long time, i was wondering if there are anny other companies who came up with a better performing mobo then tis ASUS, or is this still the best? mxrider623 Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 I would say they are the best all around board out of all the nForce 2 ones. they might be few that are a little faster but the Asus is still awesome they can overclock a little bit higher than the rest. DimensioN Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 so basicly, the "old" nforce 2 chipset has all the options of the new "intel" boards, and it still runs faster then all the other amd boards? how does it comes that there aren't comming out anny new boards for amd? for intel you have a new chipset and upgrade every 2 months or something... mxrider623 Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 because AMD's are already so good and the boards are soo much better than all of the Intels that there is no need to, J/K they are coming out with a new nForce chipset but I don't think it will be till later this year. Overclocker16 Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 The EPoX EPRDA3+ (I believe that's what it is called) is supposed to be a good board. That is the new 400MHz FSB board.
exeter_acres Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 Umm... the new A7N8X Dluxe PCB 2.0, (which I am a proud new owner of) DOES have a new chipset... nForce2 SPP Ultra 400....

andrusk Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 actually i believe the a7n8x-x is just the regular a7n8x with a 400 mhz fsb, and the a7n8x deluxe rev 2.0 is the official 400mhz fsb version of the deluxe.
DimensioN Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 now PLZ stop saying, amd is better then intel.. because if you DO believe they are, you just don't know what you're saying, or you don't want to admit they are less good... THE TRUE PROOF even the recent barton 3200+ can't keep up to the P4 3Ghz , and now you're gonna say: "the amd is better in some bechmarks" , but he's better in 4 out of 30 or something , so that doesn't work annyway.. sykocus Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 the new barton doesn't even run at 3 ghz clock speed. if intel actually put some quality into their product instead of just going for the highest number then maybe there would be something to compare.
