dreiu Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Hey all, I would like to hook up the front two USB-ports on my case to the "USB 5-6" jack on my motherboard. The problem is that my little pins that are attached to the usb ports do not have the same labeling as the board does.. here is what they are: 1 + D 1 - D 1 Ground 1 Ground 1 + 5V 2 - D 2 Ground 2 + 5V 2 + D Does any one know how I could somehow matche them with the ones on the mobo? thanks. trodas Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Hey, is not that easy? The pinout are into your mobo guide! they are like this: . . . . . . . . . ...and they start with Ground, then D- (Data-), D+ (Data+) and Vcc (+5V) - you can can easily connect these. The additional one are free, just for orientation

Pimp! Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 well im pretty sure it is, to make sure, just look at which row has the most pins (1 row has 1 less amount of pins). the one with the most pins has the double Grounds. so in other words, the row with most pins is row 1, the one with the least is row
dreiu Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 row with least pins = r1, other is row 2. I have it up and runnning fine so far.
