as long as they are hooked up by ps2 you shouldn't have any problems, but I have seen issues with USB mice working correctly through kvm switches

Hi!

This is my 1st post...

I have the IOgear 2 Port USB KVM Switch/, and it doesn't work very well with the DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLI-DR. The keyboard and Mouse are erratic, doesn't seem to send data consitently... I've tried all the BIOS Settings, but nothing works. if I plug the USB keyboard and Mouse in, all is right. the USB KVM works well on Other Systems (MSI K7N2-Delta Platinum, a Dell Dimension 1.5Ghmz P4, and 2 Apple Macs), I'll bring the KVM into work, and try it on an MSI K8N Neo4-F (similar Chipset) and report back.

Also, Tried disabling Keyboard and Mouse Support in BIOS, (Kb and Mse doesn't work in DOS) and still erratic in Windows XP. Tried a fresh install of XP. Tried updated Chipset Drivers (6.66)

Manually Edited Sig:

DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLI-DR (tried 310 BIOS, and 623)

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Winchester (Un-OC'd)

2x512mb generic Hynix memory 1T - used memtest86 to fin max timings, Not impressive enuff to post...

120GB WD SATA

MSI NX6600GT

YounnYear 400W PSU

LG GSA-4163B dvd burner

Lian-Li Case

Mac: Uhm, it has Tiger on it... ;) it's why I got's the USB KVM in the 1st place

I've been using one of those IOGear GCS562's linked above for a couple of years without any hiccups.

I like the way it works - a double tap on the "scroll lock" key switches between systems.

I have a belkin KVM switch between two servers at work sharing one monitor. I have to hit "scroll lock" key twice and then the "Up" arrow to switch between screens.

The only drawback that I have experienced is that when I reboot the servers, I cannot switch between the two screens during post. It only allows me to switch once I get well into booting windows.

Other than that, it works flawlessly.

This is the one I use ... but they have USB versions as well.. Whatever one do watch the Video refresh rates and screen resolutions that can be supported as this is where some of them drop off and the quality is not too good for the eyes.
