Paternitytest Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 in the thread for the 6/19 bios it says you know have to use all the settings......the example is given for bh-5........now i know pc3700 EB ram uses micron 5ns chips doesnt like cas 2 and that cas 3 on EB gets little to no penalty compared to cas 2 ram at same speed...so obviously a very different animal..So could anyone point me in the right direction as far as reading material or share their personal settings with this ram so i have somewhere to start... Thanks in advancel
RGone Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 You can try and run 3dmark2k1 and do it with the 7mystX settings to AUTO. If you are reasonably clocked to begin with and 3dmark2k1 'was' completing without problem on your "other" bios and does so 'now'> you are home man and no further adjustment required. You will be very fortunate that the above occurrs because for quite some time most have steered away from the EB3700 as it seemed at first un-workable and many moved away. So my guess is you will not find that many folks with the EB to share settings in the first place. You in fact will likely be the pioneer if you find a need for other than AUTO. That is how I would approach it at first anyway. Not to make more work than needed. Sincerely, RGone...
