ShadowStryder Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 When trying to install new OS on my new LP board it keeps telling me that a file is corrupt. every time I try it tells me a different file name. I have several different copies of the install disk and I know they are not bad I just made multiple installs the last few days. Ive made sure that it was on LBA also. Now I get a blue screen that pops up and gives me this error message. 0x0000008E (0xC0000005,0x8085AD62,0xF7C82608,0x00000000 I'm pretty sure this is a hardware issue, if any one knows drop a reply thanx
LoMbArD Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Are you oc'd? if so bump up your voltage or go back to stock settings for the install.

ShadowStryder Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 I reset settings to optimized default and put HDD on LBA now it hangs at screen where it prompts press any key to boot from CD. If I put HDD on Auto it starts the install but keeps giving me different file corrupt errors always a different file error. This is a new 80gig WD special edition 8Mbuffer, if that helps
LoMbArD Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 you may also want to try installing with only 1 stick of memory installed. i would also go ahead and clear the CMOS since you are having some issues, and then reset defaults, and reset your CPU / memory back to default settings again. ShadowStryder Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Now when I install during the loading driver segment at the beginning it goes black and a blue screen pops up with a problem detection message: BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO At bottom it gives a line Technical Info: Stop: 0x00000074 (0x00000003,0x00000002,0x800870000,0xc000014c If you know what this message is let me know. Ill check back in later have to leave for a while. I'm figuring I might have to tear everything down and start over. One more thing this is a new CPU could this be a bad CPU or would it be someother type of hardware issue. IE mem or Video
Guest spacemonkey Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Are your CPU and Memory in SYNC ? And it is the 13 x 166 xp3000 cpu ? (not the 10.5x200 flavour) monkey
NiCKE^ Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 I hade same problems but if you press enter the installation will try to install it again, and if that dosent work you try to reinstall it, format hdd to NTFS too, and if you sucess to install and you cant boot up windows cause of some files are missing you use WinXP repair on the Windows XP cd. ShadowStryder Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 It is 3000+ w/333FSB. I tried pressing enter and it just reboots and starts the whole process over, I also have been trying to format NTFS. But I think my problems are a lot more serious than that, I just got home and tried to boot it and it turns on then in about 10 sec. it shuts down then all Diagnostic LED's light up and start flashing, getting faster and faster. I have to pull the power cord. I'm assuming it is the mother board and not the CPU. Is there a way to tell. Should I RMA The board I have only had it for 2 days.
