Cant boot

Hey! My comp just crashed cause I overclocked and now when I changed the bios to a lower clock and saved and exit the bios the computer dont show me bootscreen, I dont know what to do so please help me. It worked fine before and I've tried to reset cmos and taken out the battery, I had the comp plugged out too for a long time and it wont start :( so please melp me someone.

 

CPU: 2400XP-M

Motherboard: DFI LanParty NFII Ultra Rev.B

Memory: Twinmos Twister 256

HDD: Seagate 160GB 100-ATA 7200RPM

DVD: Pioneer DVD-105

Graphic: MSI TI4800SE VTD-8X 128mb DDR

you get someone with the same board as you. You get them too boot up and then remove the bios chip. This will not damage it. You then insert your bios chip and flash the bios like you would if you were upgrading.

 

Then you replace the old bios chip back and take yours home to use in your board.

Which BIOS version are you running presently?

 

If you have developed the cold boot issue try

this. Hit the power button to power up and when

you hear the fans etc spin up... then hit the re-set

button for an easy count of 3 or 4 and see if things

boot up.

Sorry it didnt work so well, I will just order a new bios when I get money for it, there is nothing more to do.

 

 

*EDIT* Will it be possible to hotflash my bios with a Abit AN7 card? *EDIT*

Yes.

 

When removing and replacing a BIOS chip

orientate the chip correctly to the chip socket

when you re-insert the chip.

 

If the chip is placed in the socket 180 degrees

in error it will "smoke" the chip. As they are

+ and - voltage sensitive.
