RGone's Method with Winflash?

Recommended Posts

i made it with winflash for now because atm i doesnt have any floppy discs.

but the problem i had is still there.

i can reach the 200 FSB only with less agressive memory timings as

my mushkins MUST take.

will this problem be away if i will do it with awdflash?

or is it another problem?

btw: what is a warmod?

greets

oliver

:O ...RGone...does not have a method. RGone ran some tests on his personal board and did it X way. That is all. I reported what I did. It does not make it RGone...'s way. Maybe not even a way.

From here on out I am evaluating how I am going to post. It is very likely that I will be testing but there will be no post of the results. I am not going to post in speed results or give any benchmark results.

There are too many people who think because I can do it or in fact do do whatever that they can do it. That is not so. I tested the CH-5 just to see what it would do. Not what anyone else would 'surely' do. It was an exercise in what "might" possibly if the stars were in alignment>be done by someone else. Not a sure thing by any means.

So when it becomes RGone...'s way that is going to get someone past 200FSB that is a result of settings probably and not the bios at all> it is time for RGone... to change his posting procedure.

I think there will be no more posting that in anyway can be mis-construed as my way. You guys do it the recommended way. I am not going to post results so there will be no way to mis-think.

Let the average forum user post results if they desire> I am no longer going to do so.

Sincerely, RGone...1:o

Maybe someone can tell me some possible ways to solve this

would be useful.

thx

Can you check a different mobo, and run it at 200mhz with the set timings? what is the rated, and what are you trying to run?

Info is good.

With the Beta Bios from Jan 21st is worked.

2600+ (locked) @ 200 FSB

Mushik RAM 2x256 in the bios from up to down:

3

2

2

3

2.0

^^ SHOULD work.

Now I have

4

3

3

4

2.0

...because faster timing doesnt work with june19th bios. :(

(not at FSB > 170.... wehen set it dowsnt boot or it boots and

windows doesnt start, no start screen of windows))

PS: water cooled B) no temp problems.

if you do a procedure a certain way, it IS your way (if it's unique or you become well known for it)

for example, who invented the GUI (Graphical User Interface)? do you know?

Hey Olli. Did you read the "important info" post on top of this forums? :) There's the reasons why we need to see a detailed signature from you. Please do it so we can help you.

As I can see from your timings above that seems a lil too hard for the ram sticks/northbridge to run TRAS=4!!! Please set it to 9...12. That should stabilize things.

Erm, then what kinda Mushkin do ya have??? There are too much to guess!

You should be able to run these timings at 200MHz (if your Mushkin is Special 2-2-2 3200 or 3500 Lvl 2: 11-2-2-2-2.0-12-15-enabled-enabled-fast-enabled (maybe disabled at higher clocks, =CPC option).

So please get ya a sig :)

Sorry, now I have the infos @ my sig. ;)

On the RAMs there is written:

"PC 3500 LevelOne 2:3:3 DDR"

Now... what exactly should i set in the bios?

... but i could swear it always worked @

3

2

2

3

2.0

with a 200MHz FSB.

weird :(

Please try the following:

(set this order in bios too)

11

3

3

2

2.0

12

15

enabled

enabled

fast

disabled (try enabled if everything works well)

auto (7x additional timings in 2-17 alpha and later)

drv str/slew rate auto (3x each)

Ram voltage at 2.9V. Vdd at 1.6V.
