memoryman Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 I remember all the confusion when newegg was selling our Buffalo DD466-512/WB and /MC (one was winbond and one was micron). We're releasing a new DD4002 and it has /IC at the end of the part number (for Infineon). Since newegg tends to leave off the /xx section of the part number - be sure to read the newegg description (when this comes out later this month at newegg) to see if it's Infineon rev C. (No, I don't have control over part numbers.) These are in the overclock testing phase in my lab currently, and I'll let you know if they are any good for the NFII or A64 boards, sometime next week. bugeyes Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 Are these the single banked 512MB sticks.... any updates on the OC potential?
memoryman Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 These are double sided. I'm still testing these and I want to have enough data on these before I start posting results to make sure the data is meaningful to a variety of MBs. Matrices Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 Can the Buffalo CH-5 PC3200, rated at CAS 2.5, actually do CAS 2 at max 3.3V at 200-220 FSB? I am looking into some from a trader but don't want if I can't do CAS 2.
memoryman Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 It can with a LP NFII ultra. I've done this multiple times with the 512MBs.
Matrices Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 With the Ultra, but not with the Infinity II [which I own]? What kind of volts are required? Any specific BIOS needed? And at what FSB?
memoryman Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 The CH-5's main requirement with the Infinity and LP NFIIs is the 3.2-3.3V. Angry can chime in on which BIOS for the Infinity is best for the memory. When I do testing, I leave the processor at lower speeds so I know failures are directly related to the memory or chipset. The others in these forums know much more than me in regards to FSB/CPU and what will work for you.
Guest Psychosis Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 The buffalo CH-5 256 modules will do over 220 fsb at 11-2-2-2-2 timings in an Infinity. Check my sig out!
Matrices Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 Bah, who cares about 256 modules. Must have 512x2!
Charbroil Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Memoryman, Can I get an RMA for a stick of 256MB? I received an RMA from Newegg on 6/30 and the stick is dead. The ram will not boot into Windows and whatever settings I set it will reboot over and over. I tried setting it at default settings of 600MHz and it continues to reboot. Please advise. I sent an email to you last nite. Thank you. Forget it! I have RMA'd again to Newegg in hopes that I will get a working one this time around. Please disregard my email and this request. Thanks once again.
