RGone Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 one of the first few things noted in the sticky thread is to put your system specs in your signature so they appear at all times and give any that would try to help a better idea what it is they are dealing with. Kingston PC3200A is normally CH-5 memory and needs different settings than just choosing defaults and such. Even needs more than what you think is 'enough' memory volts. So just optimal and auto is not really going to get it when you choose 2x512 sticks. Sincerely, RGone...
Guest Skywalker Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 cpu: mobile 2500+ mobo: dfi infinity nf2 ram: 2x512 khx3200a video: 9800 pro audio: audigy 2 hd: maxtor sata 120gb
uwackme Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 try: under advanced chipset settings: expert, agressive, expert; 11,2,2,2,2.0,9,12; enable, enable,fast,disable;auto/auto/auto/auto/auto/auto set Vdimm to 3.3V, set Vcore to 1.85V, set Vdd to 1.8V, set Vagp to 1.7V Set FSB to 200Mhz, multiplier to x10, ratio 1:1, AGP feq. to 72Mhz Note CPC is disabled, 512M sticks like this best. put Memtest86 in, run test#5 for 72Hours. Every 4-6 hours up your FSB 5Mhz and see if it passes error free....if so leave it and continue, otherwise back down 5Mhz and continue. Over time the memory will get burned in and happy. Make sure you have good cooling over the memory and mosfets.

If that CH5 is up to snuff you should get around 230fsb Viper
