Just reported...

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - A statement published on an Islamic Web site Friday claimed that American hostage Paul Johnson had been beheaded. The Web site also published photos apparently showing Johnson after death. The claim could not be independently confirmed.

Screw political restraint....

Someone needs their A$$ Kicked!!!

I agree.

I could really express myself in a forceful manner against these Islamic idiots, but why waste my breath.

What I will say, unfortunately, disturbing incidents like this/these are only going to continue to become more frequent.

If most American's including politican's and citizen's alike could get passed all the geneva covention/war guidelines and etc.

All it would take would be one covert opp and this nonsense would stop. But no, we (America) for some reason thats beyond me, have to be polite in our warfare and rules of engagement.

However, never think for one second, we don't have the power, ability, technolgy and soldiers to shut them up, becuase we do, were just being more humane and polite about war. Which I don't understand.

Secondly, America is more divided today than ever before due in part, because we have become a nation of a mass culture melting pot. What this does it brings a huge change in beliefs and views as to military, government and social living should be. Because each culture has there set of beliefs that will ultimately trickle its way into mainstream politics and religion. Thus at some point this huge culture diversity will change how we live and cause us as a nation to become weaker.

I really only have 2 things to say:

1. You can't reason with unreasonable people, and you can't behave in a civilized manner with the uncivilized.

2. It has been such a long time(59 years now) since there was a major worlld war. Generations that weren't alive at that time do not understand how easily our independence and survival can be threatened. These little skirmishes(not to be disrespectful of those members of our wonderful armed forces who lost their lives in them) have desesitized the population by constant exposure on the nightly news.

People just don't remember what its like to be afraid. They(and I'm generalizing here) would rather take a liberal laissez-faire attitude and let all "those other people" do their own thing until somebody smuggles in a nuke and things get ugly real fast.

I could go on fer hours( I took 25 credits of poly sci in college), but I think people know where I'm going with this.

I'm simply pi$$ed off. Some days I can go on and on about politics, but this should be beyond politics. I don't understand any American who doesn't want to see some radical heads rolling for a change.

I heard the news on my way home. I was really angry, but I put on a happy face, because I'm not ready to explain to my preschooler how evil and scary some people are. She's scared of bears, which have never been seen in our suburb, or even our state. May God protect her innocence a little longer. I can show her maps on the internet to prove there are no bears in our state. I have no idea where Al Quaida are.

Paul Johnson's family will be in my prayers.

my thoughts as messed up as they may be....are i hear most people sayin "why not blow the whole damn middle east up"....well thats not the reasn were over there, the reason were over there is to give those people freedom...if we go in and blow the whole country up then what have we accomplished? NOTHING.

were not fighting a war with iraq...were fighting a war against saddam and his terrorist connections ....how ever insigificant they may be every connection has a lead.... and dont you dare say bush is just on a war path for his fathers assassiniation attempt because either way terrorism is terrorism and one way or another were going to have to deal with it and i for one choose bushes way by heading at it starit on and resoving the problem ASAP before it gets any worse

you have your own opinions and you are entiltled to them as much as me or the next person so i ask you not to turn my comments into a flame war but rather post your own comments on the sitiuation and ket the people decide whic side they suits them best
