Cythrawl Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 tooth pain is a hard act to follow :tooth: but i'll try anyways. these were taken while i was travelling around europe. these are scanned images of pics taken with an advantix camera. these scans don't really do the photos justice. the first is me in paris, on a bridge over the seine, close to the eiffel tower. the second is me in the top of the stirling tower in scotland, in memory of the one and only william wallace. stirling bridge is somewhere below me. http://www.frankfortinfo.com/drwebb/photos...rainbow_800.jpg http://www.frankfortinfo.com/drwebb/photos...rling1b_800.jpg I only just got round to reading this thread, and I feel I have to correct you.. Its not the Stirling tower. The tower you are sitting at the top of is called the Wallace Monument, not Stirling Tower. Stirling bridge, like you said is down below, which is where the real battle of Stirling took place and not in some field like it is on Braveheart. At the time the only way to Wallaces' troops was over that bridge, and the English Army marched across it in twos only to be cut down by Wallace on the other side. The English got massacred by Wallace which Infuriated Edward the Longshanks. Hence why Wallace was hung drawn and quartered for treason. I kinda liked the actual Sword that William Wallace used in the tower's inner bowels and the talking head Wallace that they had down there (Creepy). I love scotland, its a beautiful place. I actually had a boating holiday on Loch Ness for a week. We hired a boat and went down the whole of the Caledonian Canal. I'll see if I can dig out some pics and post em
