Europe Vs America

Xpandapuss gave me this idea to dicuss which is better in this topic. What do you guys think?

Give your opinion on this about law, technology, fun, chicks, costs of live etc....

Which one is more free than the other? Ok weed is legal, even some politics use it, and so is the use of alcohol from 18, but we only get to drive cars when we turn 18, and still our cars are much different from those big V8's.

Get the point? .......ok, it's started xpandapuss

Everyone, start your engines. Talk about the differences .... and what you like the most in each of em.

The shear scope and size of the comparisons are so vast, it will be a daunting task to even attempt a full comparison of every aspect of life in every culture...My brain is starting to hurt already...

especially since most people here have either spent no time in one place and all their life in the other. also they way you ask the question is quite trivial. what makes a country free is so much more then the amout of stuff you can do/get away with at a young age.

before you know it people will be flaming each other on who can f them selves up worse, and from my point of view if you are arguing about that, then you really have a limited perspective about life its self.

Enyone can do with their live what they want. Your own choise is free to make.

The question is more like: what do you like and dislike in America versus Europe? What would you change? What can we learn from eachother?

Just blabla what you feel like.

Only wanted to know the GOOD of both. Not trying to piss some of you off.

Do I smell hostility  .

Try not to think about the 'bad' guys....and if it gets nasty, we're in the allye, but we're all grownups heh.

It's not like a Taliban or Al Quida-member is asking these questions heh.

Btw, who started saying we're bastards? Never said we were not... J/K

Affirmative!!! Politicians are the bad guys. Here they make everything expensive due to high taxes. Belgium is not the worst, but because of this many things do not get marketed because it's too expensive and anly a small amount of people would buy the stuff. In America you can get every material thing that pops up in your mind.

So what's something you think we have 'that' great?

i was actually just joking, seeing as this post is going to result in a big fight anyways...

to think how you would react if i was actaully TRYING to offend you

one thing i do know about europe is that they have very loose morals in some areas compared to use, and very strict in other areas... for instance, illegal drugs, underage drinking, premarrital ., human cloning, etc... while america does suffer from the same things, we have laws against it. europeans on the other hand, tend to "overlook" this, concentrating on how materialistic we are. as in both senerios, this doesnt apply to all occupants of each continent and country. i think that europe is very diverse in regards to their modernization, many places shun recent technology (and america, since were at the head of it) and instead cling to old times. other sections of europe are very advanced in technology as with america. i personally dont see why we should get stuck in the past, and i see no point in learning history except to learn from mistakes. i would like to visit europe some time, some friends say its different, but not very exciting, and others say they dont like it at all, and some say they like it a lot... i guess id have to go for myself, but im not sure i could stand driving one of those toy cars :D

  • 2 weeks later...

I went to spain for 2 weeks and it's an awsome place. I don't know any spanish though....i got lost once and it took me 2 hours to get back to the hotel. I found a Games-Workshop store and asked for directions.

There are pharmacies and XXX shops on every on every block. You can look down any street and see 10 green neon crosses for the different pharmacies.
